Techsperience ONE
Daily operations, alignment reviews, a vCIO,
and someone to deliver the plan.
Techsperience ONE is our single managed-IT package for private-practice law firms in London and the Home Counties. It includes the daily IT operations every firm needs, a continuous Technology Alignment review against more than 150 standards, and a quarterly vCIO partnership at the partners' table. Cyber Essentials certification is included at no additional cost, and the project work that comes out of the roadmap is ours to deliver too.
Book the 10-minute call →How it works
Four layers,
on every client we look after.
Techsperience ONE has a single specification — there are no tiers and no premium level where strategic work appears. Every client gets the first three layers, so the strategic work has a permanent place in the relationship rather than slipping off the agenda when the helpdesk gets busy.
The fourth is how the roadmap gets delivered. It's open to every firm we support and quoted per project, so what you pay each month doesn't move when a big piece of work lands.
It has to just work.
This is what every IT firm has to do well before anything else matters. We do, and we don't make a marketing campaign of it.
Helpdesk
Real humans on the phone. Issues owned end-to-end. UK-based, with on-call cover for after-hours emergencies. Lawyers and PAs are happy to call us — that’s the goal.
Microsoft 365 management
Licences, mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune device policies, Purview retention, conditional access. We make sure you get the value you’ve already bought.
Device management
Laptops, desktops, mobiles. Configured, patched, encrypted, monitored, retired. New starters get a working machine on day one. Leavers offboarded the same day.
Windows update management
Update schedules planned around your firm — not all twenty fee-earners’ machines rebooting at 9am Tuesday. Patches stay current; productivity loss stays low.
Software control
We track what’s installed, where, and on whose authority. Unauthorised software flagged. Out-of-date software updated or removed. Fewer surprises during an SRA file review.
Email security
Multi-layered protection — spam, phishing, impersonation, business email compromise, attachment sandboxing. Real attacks blocked before they reach a fee-earner’s inbox.
Anti-malware
Two independent endpoint anti-malware packages running in parallel, using different detection techniques. Belt and braces, deliberately.
24×7 Security Operations Centre
Our SOC monitors your endpoints and Microsoft 365 around the clock. When something looks wrong, an analyst investigates immediately and can isolate a compromised device — at 3am on a Sunday if needed.
Continuous review.
No quiet drift.
Every Techsperience client's environment is reviewed continuously against more than 150 standards we maintain — covering security, identity, data protection, business continuity, software currency, policy compliance, and SRA expectations. Each standard is either aligned or not aligned. There's no marking your own homework.
Your firm sees the score. You see the gaps. You see what's drifted since last quarter and what's about to. Priorities are agreed openly — not announced after the next outage.
- A live alignment score against every standard, viewable any time
- A quarterly written report summarising changes, current risks, and proposed next-quarter priorities
- An "open the books" policy — every category visible, every gap on the table
A virtual CIO,
at the partners' table.
Most law firms of 20 to 150 staff can't justify a full-time CIO and shouldn't try to. The work is too important to skip and too occasional to need a £150,000-a-year hire.
Our vCIO is the strategic IT role we run for you. Once a quarter, we sit down with the partners — at your office or ours — for sixty to ninety minutes. The agenda fits on one page:
The growth plan, the office move, the merger you haven’t announced yet. We’d rather hear it early.
Whether what you have can carry that, and what it would take if it can’t.
What to spend on this quarter, and what can safely wait until next year.
What changed since last quarter, and what we’re doing about it.
The output is a one-page roadmap the partners can take to a partnership meeting and act on without translation.
AI is on most of these agendas now. If you want a view before the conversation, our free Law Firm AI Readiness Check scores where your firm actually stands.
The projects themselves.
A roadmap nobody delivers is a document. The firms we support can hand us the work that comes out of it.
Most of what appears on a quarterly roadmap is a project, not a ticket: a practice-management migration, an AI rollout that needs governance before it needs licences, a Cyber Essentials Plus push, a document-management move, the tooling your fee-earners have been asking for since last year.
We do that work for the firms whose technology we already run — which means nobody has to be briefed on your environment, and there's no gap between the firm that recommended something and the firm delivering it.
- Practice-management and document-management migrations
- AI adoption — governance, pilots, and the rollout itself
- Compliance programmes, including Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001
- Office moves, mergers, and new-office builds
- Client-facing and fee-earner tooling
Project work is quoted and billed separately from the monthly per-user fee.

Honest about scope
What Techsperience isn't.
Knowing what we don't do is part of how we keep doing the things we do well. The honest list:
Project-only engagements
We do project work for the firms whose technology we run — that's Layer 04. What we don't take on is a one-shot office move for a firm we don't otherwise support.
Free pre-sales audits
We don't survey your environment as a sales pitch. The first substantive technical work happens after we've both agreed to work together.
Telecoms or hardware reselling as the offer
We'll specify and procure hardware your firm needs at a small markup, usually still below supplier list price. It's a service, not a profit centre.
Multi-sector work
New clients come from private-practice UK law firms of 20 to 150 staff. A few longstanding clients in other sectors are still with us, and always will be, but we are not taking on more. We expect to add a second sector during 2027.
The lowest price
Our pricing is published. Significantly cheaper offers usually mean a different scope of service — happy to walk you through what's included and what isn't.
Frequently asked
Questions about the service.
What does Techsperience ONE include?
Techsperience ONE is a single all-in package: daily IT operations (helpdesk, Microsoft 365 management, device management, Windows updates, software control, email security, anti-malware, 24×7 Security Operations Centre), a continuous Technology Alignment review against more than 150 standards, and quarterly vCIO sessions at the partners’ table. Cyber Essentials certification is included at no additional cost.
Is there a tiered version of Techsperience ONE?
No. Every client gets the same three included layers — daily operations, Technology Alignment, vCIO. The strategic work is what you came for; tiering it would defeat the purpose. The fourth layer, project delivery, is open to every firm we support and quoted per project.
How much does Techsperience ONE cost?
Per user, per month, between £100 and £150 depending on complexity. See our pricing page for worked examples for 20-, 50- and 100-user firms.
How is Techsperience ONE different from a typical managed-IT contract?
The Technology Alignment review and the quarterly vCIO sessions are part of the standard Techsperience ONE package, included on every client engagement. That gives the strategic work a permanent place in the relationship rather than depending on a separate contract.
Do you support practice-management software (LEAP, Access Legal, Actionstep, Clio)?
Yes. We support all major UK practice-management platforms used by private-practice firms, including Access Legal Case Management, Access Legal Proclaim, Actionstep, Clearmatter, Clio, Insight Legal, LEAP, Osprey, and Quill. We can also help firms migrate between them. Clearmatter is our own lightweight matter-management product, built in-house — we offer it as one option among many, depending on what suits each firm.
Do you provide IT support for individual home offices and remote workers?
Yes. Modern law-firm IT is hybrid by default — fee-earners working from home, court, client offices, or chambers. Techsperience ONE covers your people wherever they’re working, including their devices, access, and security.
What does the Security Operations Centre do?
Our SOC monitors your Microsoft 365 tenant and your endpoints around the clock, every day. When suspicious activity is detected — an unusual login, a possible compromised account, malware on a device — an analyst investigates immediately. If a device is compromised, the SOC can isolate it from your network remotely, including out of hours.
